Registration

Send your full data by email (if not already sent). On the spot registration is possible to attend only, not to present. Strictly no entrance without badge, for security reasons. If you lose your badge you will have to pay registration again.

Your presentation

Send as attached file with your name (if not already sent). We need to upload your full text.

Duration of presentations

Time is observed strictly – no one gets even one minute more. Classes 30 minutes. Lectures and Reports 20 minutes. Performances up to 5 minutes for solos and duos, 10 minutes for companies. Give your music for duration check. Rehearsal on the same day only.

You are responsible for your own presentation material; for music bring CD and check it with the sound technician; for a lecture check your USB key to see if compatible.

Your tradition

The World Congress also an opportunity to discover more about cultural diversity. Wear formal, ethnic or local costume at the opening ceremony (optional).

Local information

TRANSPORT

Taxi fare is low, about 7 euros within the city. Metro stations for the Dora Stratou building in Plaka: Acropolis, Syntagma and Monastiraki. Metro stations for the Serafio Center: Kerameikos.

FEES

CID membership fee is $80, congress registration is $100 not refundable. Conferees have free access to all events, only if wearing their badge. Presentations are $30 each.

ATTIRE

Bring light dresses, sunglasses, a hat. Drink much water. Expected temperature is above 30 degrees centigrade. Wear formal, ethnic or local costume at the opening ceremony (optional).

NETWORKING

It is important that as many CID members as possible make your acquaintance. Bring many brochures and visiting cards to give away. Display articles, publications, distribute photocopies of your lecture.

INSURANCE

Make sure your insurance covers you for the trip. Call your embassy if in need.

OTHER

Over 30 million visitors will come to Greece this year; everything is provided for their needs. English is spoken everywhere, other languages too. The nearest beach is 15 minutes away, by taxi you pay about 7 euros.
