Please give information regarding the CID World Congress to journalists. It is important that the media (TV, radio, newspapers, magazines) write about it and about your participation in it.

We are very proud to hold the no. 1 event in the world of dance.
Characteristics of CID World Congresses
1. Strictly non-commercial, not-for-profit, no extra charges
2. Largest number of conferees: between 200 and 700.
3. Largest number of countries: from 30 up to 64, from all 5 continents.
4. Held for 35 consecutive years since 1987: 58 Congresses in total.
5. Organized by a CID Section, not a private business.
6. Maximum publicity: announced 1 year earlier, covered by dozens of dance magazines, newsletters, websites, emailed to over 100,000 dance professionals in 200 countries.
7. Not to be confused with festivals, conferences, workshops, symposiums, trade fairs etc., while containing their most important features.
8. Official recognition: endorsed by Ministries and government agencies.
9. Scientific Committee composed of university professors from 7 countries.
10. Full texts submitted and published – no abstracts.
11. Deadline for proposals is one month before the Congress.
12. No keynote speakers, no invited guests, no visitors: only registered participants, that is select professionals.
13. Time allowed is equal to all conferees.
14. Full proceedings, including all texts, videos, music, pictures etc. posted on the Congress website, viewed by tens of thousands.
15. All forms of dance are represented: ballet, modern, folk, ballroom, contemporary, traditional, classical, tango, Oriental, etc.
16. All approaches: teaching, performing, choreography, research, therapy, criticism, recreation, management, journalism, administration etc.
17. Including: performances, classes, research reports, lecture-demonstrations, exhibitions/sales, video projections, visits etc.
18. A dancer’s bag with gifts given to each conferee, including: certificate, parchment for wall framing, program, posters, badges, stickers for school entrance and for car windshield, a book, tourist information, handouts etc.
19. Venue is a prestigious building in the city center.
20. Staffed entirely by volunteers, members of the CID.
21. Publishing full list of conferees, plus final results in figures, plus names of all organizers with their contact details.
22. Members only, to maintain a high level of competence.
23. Over 20 experienced CID Members compose the Congress Team.
